Cliff inspections to take place in Sidmouth

Cliff inspections are set to take place near Connaught Gardens in Sidmouth next week.

They will begin at Seaton on Monday and Tuesday (13-14 March), move on to Beer from Wednesday to Friday (15-17 March), then to Budleigh Salterton next Monday (20 March), before Sidmouth's Connaught Gardens next Tuesday (21 March).

An EDDC spokesperson said: "Annual inspections include removing loose material and additional safety works such as installation of rock netting.

"Rolling cordons will be in place below the cliffs for public safety. In Seaton and Sidmouth, while pathways are closed, diversion signage will be in place."
