Surfers Against Sewage and Sidmouth Plastic Warriors have teamed up to organise a 'huge' autumn beach clean.
The Autumn Beach Clean event, taking place on Sunday, October 27, will feature prizes for the heaviest collection and the strangest object collected.
Due to weather concerns the day of the beach clean was changed from Saturday to Sunday.
Surfers Against Sewage rep and Sidmouth Plastic Warrior Denise Bickley said: "Due to the awful weather forecast for Saturday we have decided to move the beach clean to Sunday and we will be starting at 11am.
"Please share as widely as you can to catch anyone who may not have heard, and please turn up on Sunday instead. The forecast for Sunday is a glorious Autumn day so that sounds much better.
"Everyone is welcome. If you are able to donate any prizes for this we would be very grateful, so please let us know.
"We want to get our biggest turnout of lovely people yet, 84 to beat, and we especially want our fantastic teens to come and get involved in direct action to clean up our town."
Those interested in taking part are asked to meet at the The Marine on the Esplanade at around 11am.
