Police warning after reports of thefts of tractor tech devices

Police are warning tractor owners to be extra vigilant after reports that GPS devices are being stolen from the vehicles.

Police have issued the following statement: "We have received reports of thefts of tractor GPS guidance systems.

"This has taken place overnight on Wednesday 4 December 2019, where two Starfire GPS systems were stolen in Crediton, and overnight on Saturday 7 December 2019 where four more Starfire GPS systems were stolen from two further locations, in Budleigh Salterton and Ottery St Mary.

"Please be wary of this.

"Review security and make a note of your GPS serial numbers and mark them in some way if possible.

"Please report any suspicious activity on 999 and if possible make a note of vehicle registrations and persons seen."
