Sidmouth's Ham West car park will be temporarily closed on Friday (8 September) for the repainting of its lines and letters.

East Devon District Council is asking for all cars to be removed on Thursday evening, and anticipates the closure will last between the hours of 6am and 3pm on Friday.

An East Devon District Council spokesperson said: "Please can we ask that all cars are removed from this car park on [Thursday] evening.

"This will allow our contractors to complete the repainting of the car park lining and lettering more easily.

"We anticipate that the car park will need to be closed between 6am and 3pm on Friday.

"We apologise in advance for any inconvenience that this may cause."
