If you have a special request or dedication for a future programme, please let me know, but if it is for a specific date, let me have a couple of weeks notice so that I can fit it in!

This week it will be a 'Pot Pourri' of music from a spread of nearly 40 years, with birthday tributes to Vikki Carr, Cindy Walker, Kay Starr, Margaret Whiting, the wonderful Mireille Mathieu, June Malo, Bob Eberly, Robert Farnon, Les Reed, one of the King Brothers, one of The Seekers, Harvey Fuqua, Rudy Vallée, one of the McGuire Sisters, Paul Anka, Barry de Verzon and Lionel Bart, along with requests and dedications from you, the listeners, including a little "modern nostalgia."

Hopefully I'll be able to bring back some memories for you, and I'll be giving out gold stars if you remember some of these singers before I tell you who they are. In addition I'll also introduce you to some singers whom you've either forgotten, or maybe missed altogether, first time around.

Two hours of our sort of music, around 25 songs, without too much chat.

For all those who can't listen to the live broadcast, Bob puts the programme onto the website the next day and it can be heard on and/or downloaded from the Sid Valley Radio website. Simply go to the 'Podcasts' button and scroll down the page a short way until you see "Down Memory Lane." David will also be putting the links on the Facebook page - and thanks to him for all his help, too.
