As of next week green waste collections in Sidmouth will resume with customers given a three month extension to cover the lock down period.

As restrictions remain in place as part of the coronavirus lockdown, Sidmouth residents are doing their bit to make sure the spread of Covid-19 is kept to a minimum.
So far, five people are reported to have died in Sidmouth and one in Ottery St Mary after contracting coronavirus, which highlights the seriousness of the pandemic.
East Devon District Council has reported the torching of a dog ban sign on a Sidmouth beach to the police as arson and will prosecute the culprit if they are caught by the police.
The burned out sign was discovered by the council on Wednesday morning on Jacobs Ladder Beach in Sidmouth.
This weekend is the May Bank Holiday and to coincide with VE Day celebrations the usual bank holiday, on the first Monday of May, has been moved to Friday, May 8.
In light of the Bank Holiday East Devon District Council has made some changes to its refuse collections.
A dog has died after falling from cliffs near Beer this morning.
The incident took place at around 9.30am today at Hooken Cliffs.

Devon's two air ambulance will be taking to the skies again tomorrow after successfully introducing 'new aviation solutions' to ensure the safety of patients and air ambulance staff during the Coronavirus outbreak.
A new separation screen has been installed between the front and rear sections of the aircraft, which partitions-off the pilot cockpit from the patient treatment/paramedic area.

Sidmouth Recycling Centre will reopen for 'essential use only' next week, Devon County Council has announced this morning.
All Household Waste Recycling Centres in the county were closed on March 24 after the Government announced lock down restrictions, but from Monday, May 11, they will reopen.
A sign marking the end of the dog ban zone on Sidmouth's Jacobs Ladder Beach has been set on fire by vandals.
The sign helped dog walkers understand which parts of the beach are dog friendly and which parts are not.
The latest figures from the Office of National Statistics show a rise in the number of deaths attributed to the coronavirus in East Devon this week, with more deaths taking place in care homes.
The figures, published today, relate to all deaths that occurred between April 18 and April 24 but were registered up to May 2.
